I recently received a Rust-Oleum® DIY Project Kit for Valentine's Day that consisted of Testors® Acrylic Paint, paint brushes, red and silver sparkle spray paint, and wooden hearts. This was my creation from this DIY kit.
Items needed:
- 4 wine bottles
- Red Semi-Gloss Spray Paint
- White Semi-Gloss Spray Paint
- Red Sparkle Spray Paint
- Clear Satin Polycrylic Spray
- Red & White Acrylic Paint
- Sandpaper
- Rubber Gloves
Use a hair dryer to loosen the adhesive and remove most of the labels with ease.

Use Dawn soap and hot water with an abrasive sponge to remove any final residue from wine bottles.

Step 2: Rough up bottle with sandpaper for proper spray paint adhesion.
Step 3: Set up a well ventilated work area.
My favorite spot to work with chemicals and spray paint is outside where I do not have to worry about fumes or over-spray.
Step 4: Spray paint L-O-V-E letter color.
I chose to have the red letters so I used a Red Semi-Gloss Spray Paint.

Step 5: Place L-O-V-E letters on wine bottles.
I used my Silhouette Curio to cut out letters on vinyl to be placed on the wine bottles.

Step 10: Paint wooden heart to be the -O-
I used white and red acrylic paint to create an ombre design on the heart.
